Mauricio Pochettino says Chelsea will be a 'two-year project' after the club made their second worst start to a Premier League season ever

Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that his project with Chelsea will be two years long after the club made its worst top-flight start in 45 years.

The Chelsea manager shed some light on when fans can expect to see results from their new young experiment ahead of their West London derby with Fulham tonight.

Asked by an interviewer how long he feels the project is as his contract is only for two years, the former Tottenham and Southampton manager laughed before replying: 'Two years?'

He then explained how the most important thing for him and Chelsea at the moment is to be 'in the right project'.
